People often come to counseling feeling stressed, overwhelmed, worried, depressed, and sometimes unsure of where to turn next. My goal is to create a relaxed, comfortable, come as you are space that is free of judgment to talk through whatever obstacles are in your life. My approach to counseling is relational and client-centered in order to empower you to take steps towards the healing and growth that you desire. I trust you to be the expert in your life as we walk together towards achieving your goals. In my work, I use an eclectic blend of techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to best meet your needs.

Common reasons for coming to counseling I see include, depression, anxiety, trauma and post-traumatic stress, couples working through conflict and looking for improved communication, infidelity and other marriage/relationship difficulties, pre-marriage/pre-engagement counseling and building a healthy relationship, school/work stress, college and other life transitions, and spiritual/faith challenges or traumas. I’m a certified SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator and also enjoy using the enneagram as a lens to explore the human personality.

In working together, my goal is to join with you as we help balance the growth and change that you want to see with acceptance of what life has thrown at you. It would be a privilege to work with you in your healing process.

When I’m not working, I enjoy running, reading, playing video games, watching sports, and exploring the outdoors with my wife and our two dogs.
