Reaching out can be overwhelming, especially when you have been carrying heavy emotional burdens for a long time. Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed or stuck in old patterns that keep them from moving forward. Together, we will work toward creating healthier coping strategies and lasting emotional change.

My therapeutic approach draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). That means learning real-life skills to manage emotions and building a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you.

I also incorporate attachment-based therapy to explore how past experiences may be shaping your current emotions and behaviors, helping you better understand relationship patterns, emotional responses, and how you relate to yourself and others.

Outside of work, I aim to create connection and comfort wherever I can. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and live music.

Laura is seeing clients in our Athens office and via telehealth . She is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Alliant, Kaiser,  and Aetna insurance.
