Congratulations on taking the first step in your journey to mental and emotional health! The road to mental and emotional health and wholeness is paved with intentionality, vulnerability, receptiveness, and perseverance. My therapeutic goal is to accompany you along this journey while providing you with the necessary tools to overcome the various obstacles along the way. We’ve all experienced obstacles while traveling, including potholes, roadblocks, traffic jams, missed exits, and even dead ends. As it relates to your mental health, these obstacles may look like anxiety about life’s uncertainties, depression regarding regrets about the past, apprehension about entering life transitions, or confusion about navigating the hardships of romantic or familial relationships. I provide a non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you have the freedom to explore these issues while receiving practical strategies to address them.
I work with adult individuals and couples whose challenges include anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, marital/relationship issues, and trauma. My approach to therapy is to meet each individual or couple wherever they are in their journey with empathy, understanding, transparency, and accountability. My objective is to provide individuals and couples with healthy coping methods that empower each person to confront, explore, and deconstruct negative thinking patterns and communication styles, and replace them with healthier processing methods.
To accomplish this goal, I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and the Gottman Method. I have several years of experience providing spiritual support to individuals with diverse belief systems, and I am open to discussing your faith and culture as you desire.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exercising with my favorite fitness activity being weightlifting. I also enjoy watching my favorite shows, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Kerry is available to see people in our East Cobb Office . He is in network with most Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Kaiser insurance plans.
