As a first-generation immigrant and child of immigrants, I know how cultural expectations and family pressures can deeply impact mental health. Questions like “Am I American enough? Am I Desi enough?” can leave us feeling caught between worlds, carrying self-doubt, anxiety, or even isolation.

In my work, I hold space for first-generation immigrants, South Asians, individuals who identify as Muslim, women, and young adults to explore these complex experiences and move toward self-acceptance and balance. I also support clients navigating women’s health concerns and chronic pain, recognizing how these challenges affect both body and mind.

My therapeutic approach is personalized — I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also integrate strength-based and trauma-focused perspectives, along with culturally sensitive and expressive arts approaches, to ensure therapy feels relevant, supportive, and attuned to each person’s unique story.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, painting, and staying active through pilates and the gym. One of my favorite ways to connect with others is by asking about their current read or favorite book — stories often tell us so much about who we are.Taking the first step toward change is powerful, and I’m proud of you for considering it. I’m here to support you in creating the best version of yourself, and I look forward to being part of your healing process.
